Villa de Valdemoro

Villa de Valdemoro High School is the oldest high school in Valdemoro, a city of nearly eighty thousand inhabitants located twenty-six kilometers south of Madrid, the capital of Spain.
This high school began its life in 1986. Since then, it has been offering a quality education for almost thirty-five years. Currently, it has 1,300 students and a hundred teachers, as well as ten workers who perform administrative and service tasks.
Among its academic offerings, we teach four levels of Compulsory Secondary Education, two levels of Bachillerato (in the modalities of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Sciences) and Vocational Training of the Health branch (Intermediate Level of Auxiliary Nursing Care and Higher Level of Oral
Hygiene).
Villa de Valdemoro High School pays attention to diversity, being this one of its hallmarks. For this reason, it has programs for educational compensation, special educational needs and learning improvement. Moreover, in the 2013-14 academic year, our school was awarded with the diploma of Excellence, aimed at students who finish Compulsory Secondary Education with a good academic
record and who wish to continue their Bachillerato studies with a high level of demand.
Among the values of our educational project are innovation (we use Google applications for education), promotion of healthy habits and sports (the main event of our school is a popular race through the streets of the town in which other schools participate), coexistence (thanks to its program of students and teachers assistants and mediators), solidarity (our school promotes different solidarity initiatives such as the “kilo operation” to collect food for people in need), the promotion of values to educate future citizens in a democratic society or its commitment to internationalization (end-of-year trips abroad in the 4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education and in the 1st year of Bachillerato;
foreign exchanges with Germany in the 3rd year of Compulsory Secondary Education, and with Italy in 1st of Bachillerato; or Erasmus programs where students of all the different levels take part (Compulsory Secondary Education, Bachillerato and Vocational training).
Villa de Valdemoro High School has been offering a quality public service in our town for almost thirty years. It stands out for having an experienced and motivated teaching staff who are committed with teaching and who has successfully trained several generations of Valdemoro students.
