CRITERIOS A CONSIDERAR

IES VILLA DE VALDEMORO announces this local competition for the creation and design a 3d device.

OBJECTIVE
Design a plastic device that can help in the day-to-day life of the school to fight COVID-19.
The best works will be used to select the students participating in the two Erasmus + projects in which our Institute collaborates, in both cases linked to STEM professions (related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
The participation in both Erasmus + projects will allow students to be in contact with students from other European countries and, when possible, to travel with the teachers team being all the expenses paid.

CRITERIA TO BE CONSIDERED
The object must be no longer than 15 cm, so that it can be printed on a conventional 3D printer. The object must be also printable.
A document must be included explaining the object, its functioning and its usefulness.
Tinkercad will be used since it is easy to use and for its ease of sharing designs.
PROCEDURE
In order to prove that the work is original, participants will send files or image captures that show the intermediate steps followed in the design.

CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING THE WINNING DESIGN
The project score will be determined as follows:
Half of the score comes from a jury composed of the members of the Technology Department.
The other half comes from a vote by the students and teachers of the center. The designs will be published on the web, and it will be only possible to vote with “Villa de Valdemoro” accounts through a form.

CRITERIA OF THE JURY
The usefulness and practical use that can be given to the device (35%)
Originality. Make up something that does not exist (35%)
Efficiency in the use of plastic material (15%)
Ease of printing (one piece, no extra material needed…) (15%)

AWARDS
The winner will have the right to print 3 figures/objects using the school printer.
The best works will be used to select the students participating in the mobility projects around Europe within the Erasmus + program.
